The National Board of Medical Examiners is
an independent, not-for-profit organization that serves the public through its
high-quality assessments of healthcare professionals. It develops and manages the USMLE.
Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB)
The Federation of State Medical Boards is a
national nonprofit representing the 70 medical and osteopathic boards of the
United States and its territories. They
help state medical boards shape the future of medical regulation.
Educational Commission for Foreign Medical
Graduates (ECFMG)
Educational Commission for Foreign Medical
Graduates certifies international medical graduates for entry into U.S.
graduate medical education and by participating in the evaluation and
certification of other physicians and health care professionals nationally and
internationally.
