Organization
Learning
Learning is
important but if its not organized you may be engaging in unnecessary ‘wasted
learning’. Wasted learning occurs when
you spend 4 hours learning a concept and in two weeks you have to re-learn it.
Resource
With the thousands
of resources, webpages, ‘expert’ friends, professors and advisors available to
students it is quite easy to be confused.
The process becomes a windy road of frustration. Part of being successful is being able to
navigate through the available options.
We help students maximize the often overwhelming number of resources
available, to encourage efficiency and effectiveness.
Active Learning
We encourage
active learning by using mental maps, mnemonics and spaced repetition
systems. Active learning can include but
not limited to mental maps, mnemonics, note taking, reading to understand,
etc.
